SUBSEAL
LIQUID WATERPROOFING MEMBRANE
SubSeal
is a ready-to-use elastomeric waterproofing membrane which
also functions as a sealant, stand-alone crack suppressant
and moisture barrier for hard surface, resilient and wood
flooring.
Easily
applied with a trowel, brush, roller or airless sprayer,
SubSeal 50 is also available in a thicker formula, SubSeal
10, for bead applications. Both formulas attach to the substrate
with superior adhesion and meet ANSI A118.10 for thin-bed,
load bearing waterproofing membranes.
How
It Works
SubSeal
forms a continuous, impervious water barrier for waterproofing
protection. It can also be used with sheet-applied membrane
systems for seam and corner applications such as shower
pans. The product can also be used at floor-to-wall, wall-to-wall,
and wall-to-ceiling joints, at drains and protrusions and
at all perimeters. The membrane will adhere to the substrate
while creating a new surface to accommodate A118.4 or better
latex mortars, organic adhesives and epoxy setting materials.
SubSeal
reduces tile failure by protecting tile and other hard surface
floors from substrate movement while waterproofing underlying
or adjacent building structures.
Recommended
Uses
Thin-bed
installation of ceramic tile products, marble, pavers, or
brick requiring integrated waterproofing such as: above
grade food courts - restaurants - balconies - decks - commercial
kitchens - showers - lavatories - parking decks - wood floors
& glass mesh mortar units - laundry rooms and other
areas needing above grade water protection. It can be applied
over: concrete - wood particle board - tile - VA tile -
metal - asbestos floor tile.

Form Specification
WATERPROOF
MEMBRANE shall be SubSeal Liquid Waterproof Membrane consisting
of a 40 mil, self-adhering, two-component sheet membrane.
The reinforced fiber sheet is laminated to a polymer modified
elastomeric base sheet which is capable of extra heavy duty
service per ASTM C-627. Joints shall be a 2" overlapping
self-sealing design to form a watertight seal. (Patent Pending)
