The SAM³ (Sound
Abatement Mat) System provides three functions. It's a sound
reduction membrane, a crack suppression membrane and a waterproof
membrane; all in one easy-to-use roll.
The SAM³ System is a thin, 70 mil (3/32") self-adhering,
sound deadening sheet membrane. It is chemically formulated
to reduce airborne (STC) and impact (IIC) sound transmission
when used under ceramic tile.
The SAM³
System is composed of modified elastomers, sound deadening
resins and reinforced woven fibers. SAM³'s self-adhering
composition produces a quick and economical installation.

Uses:
The SAM³ System is designed for floors requiring and
Impact Insulation Class (IIC) rating not less than 50 and
a Sound Transmission Class (STC) rating of not less than
50, as determined by ASTM Standards E90, E413 and E492.

Sound deadening product shall be the
SAM³ membrane, consisting of 70 mil (3/32"), two
component self adhering sheet membrane. SAM³ is designed
for floors requiring an Impact Insulation Class (IIC) of

of not less than 50, as determined by ASTM Standards E90,
