ECB® 75 Anti-Fracture Membrane
ECB® 75 is an economical alternative to ECB Classic providing crack isolation up to 1/4". ECB 75 is the perfect solution for residential applications.
How It Works
ECB® 75 is a self-bonding, sheet applied elastomeric membrane and is designed for use under floor surfaces that require protection from structural movement.
ECB® 75 consists of a base layer of polymer modified elastomers, permanently laminated to a unique "stress flex" fiber sheet. Together they form a single 40 mil (1/16") thick, high strength self-bonding membrane that is easily applied. The elastomeric base functions as a buffer, absorbing the thermal and lateral structural movement of the sub-floor (up to 1/4"), while the "stress flex" fiber sheet creates a new flooring surface which will accommodate most ANSI A118.4 mortars, organic adhesives and epoxy setting materials. ECB® 75 adheres permanently to the substrate, remains flexible and will last the life of the flooring surface.
Use ECB® 75 membrane OVER:
Concrete: Poured, pre-stressed and pre-cast concrete, concrete backerboard, mud beds, gypsum, lightweight concrete and patching compounds.
Wood: Plywood, APA-rated sheathing, Sturd-I-Floor, hardwood, tongue and groove and OSB with standard face. (Gap between sheeting as required.)
Other Substrates: Ceramic and porcelain tile, stone, terrazzo, VCT/VAT, metal, painted and sealed floors and floors damaged by dry shrinkage and structural movement.
Use ECB® 75 UNDER:
Thin & medium-bed mortar installations (ANSI A118.4) of ceramic, porcelain, stone, marble, slate, granite tile, pavers, brick, hardwood, manufactured wood, commercial grade vinyl and other finished floors; check with flooring manufacturer.
Ideal for use with radiant heated floors and low voltage tile warming systems.
ECB® 75 is available in 3' x 75' (225sf) rolls.
